Blogging used to be quite a big
part of my life. I started using blogspot when I was 13, and stopped when I was
19 because I got lazy (and because some random aunties had random access and it
was too random for my liking). To prevent that situation, I've now decided to
decrease the size of holes in my filter so that I can be quite public about my
blog, so
HELLO, AUNTIES! Welcome
to my brog.
Reading through my previous posts,
though, made me realize that I miss writing about the funny, the thoughtful, the
happy, and the not-so-happy. So I'm back to blogging again, and here's hoping
that I keep to it! *fingers
crossed*
For now, here's a little intro...
Things that I Used to Blog About
1) My new pet
turtle
Lovingly donated by Chris after he
killed the other one and realized that he was incapable of sustaining reptilian
lives
2) How I cured my
new turtle of a lung infection
3) How I almost
deprived a classmate of future Father’s Day celebrations because of a very
ill-aimed (or well-aimed kick, depending on how you look at it)
4) How I landed
myself in trouble
From run-ins with the Senior
Minister’s gurkhas to scoldings from my Mum after she ended up swallowing the
eraser dust that I put into the fridge (long story)
5) My funny
friends and our hilarious antics
Like how I put raw cabbage into
Beu's bag at a steamboat restaurant when she wasn't looking, and how the twelve
of us threw a surprise party for Becky's 17th birthday in a public toilet at
Kopitiam. We may all be hitting the age when we can saunter into Golden
Village and watch an R-rated film as ‘Adults’, but I assure you that our
childishness will continue.
6) Quotes and
Conversations
Example 1:
Me: So are you still going to the U of Iowa?
Samuel: No lah it's ulu
Winston: Yah and don't you have to learn the language?
*A definitive did-he-just-say-that pause*
Samuel: ... They speak English.
Me: HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH
Winston: Oh I thought it was in France! STOP LAUGHING *throws
menu at me*
Example 2:
Me: She got into the University of Kuala Lumpur!
Beu: Oh where's
that at? Kuala Lumpur?
7) Pictures
Those dorks, clearly blending in with the locals on our Phuket Trip in 2009
One Thing that You should Know about my Blogging History
My two blogs turned into porn sites
after being hacked into (hence revolutionizing what it meant for viewers to
keep abreast of what was going on in my life)
If you're wondering why my previous posts have disappeared though
my blog address remains the same, I've actually decided to wipe the slate clean
and start afresh (again, Hello Aunties!) My previous posts brought back lots of
memories, but I since I'm starting anew, I don't want my blog to be laden with
three-year-old baggage.
Here's to the start of a new chapter :)
